Our prices are set in Ugandan shillings. A figure in another currency is an estimate at today's exchange rate, shown for convenience. Your quotation states the exact amount and the currency you will be charged in before you pay anything.

Work starts once the agreed payment is received. That is what lets us commit a named researcher to a date and send them out with transport already covered.

A single location, a single visit, a straightforward question. You approve the scope, we send the quotation, and the researcher is briefed once the payment lands. One payment, one report, nothing outstanding at the end.
Larger and multi-site investigations
Half to begin, half before the final report
Longer programmes, several locations or several sources cross-checked. Half the agreed fee starts the work. The balance falls due once the fieldwork is complete, and the final report is released when it is settled. You see progress and scope confirmation along the way.
The fee covers the investigation, not the outcome.
You are paying us to go, look properly and report what we find within the agreed scope. Findings rest on the evidence and information available. A report that says the premises are empty, or that something could not be confirmed, is the report doing its job, and it is worth exactly as much as one that confirms what you hoped. That independence is the product.
Every engagement is documented: a written scope, then a quotation or invoice, then written confirmation once your payment is received, then the report. You always know what has been agreed and what has been paid.

What moves the number
Six things that change a quote.
So that nothing in the final figure is a surprise.
- Distance from the regional hub
- Standard local travel around a hub town is already in the starting price. A district we do not staff needs exceptional travel, which is quoted as a separate line and agreed with you before anyone sets off.
- Number of locations
- Each additional site is priced individually rather than bundled into a vague total.
- Interviews required
- Speaking to occupants, neighbours or officials takes time on site and time to write up. It is quoted per interview.
- Urgency
- A same-day or next-day visit means moving someone off other work. We will tell you the surcharge before you commit to it.
- Sensitivity
- Work that requires a second researcher for safety, or careful handling of a dispute, is quoted accordingly.
- Official search fees
- Where a brief needs a record obtained from a registry or a local office, the fee that office charges is passed on at cost as its own line. We tell you the amount before we pay it.

How do I know the photographs are real and recent?
Every photograph carries the location and time the device recorded when it was taken, not when it was uploaded. Each one is tied to a named researcher whose identity we have verified, and the file is locked once quality assurance signs it off. If a finding is ever disputed, the original record is still there, unchanged.
What happens if the researcher cannot confirm something?
We report that plainly. An honest 'we could not access the site because it was gated and nobody was present' is worth more to you than a confident answer we invented. Anything unconfirmed is listed separately in every report.
Can you work in a district that is not on your coverage map?
Usually yes. Districts marked on request mean we do not have a researcher based there, so the journey is longer and the travel is quoted as a separate line you approve before we set off. Tell us the location and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it well.
When do I pay, and what is the fee actually for?
You pay after you have approved the written scope and received the quotation, and before a researcher travels. Smaller verification assignments are paid in full upfront. Larger investigations are split in half: one half to begin, the balance before the final report is released. The fee covers the investigation and the reporting, not the outcome. We are paid to go, look, and tell you what is actually there, whichever way that turns out.
Does paying mean the report will confirm what I am hoping for?
No, and that independence is what makes the report worth having. Findings rest on the evidence and information available within the agreed scope. A report that says the premises are empty, or that we could not confirm what you were told, is the report doing its job. If we were paid for a particular answer, nobody could rely on any of our answers.
How do I pay from outside Uganda?
Card payments, mobile money and bank transfer. Diaspora clients typically pay by card. The full price is agreed before work starts. Our prices are set in Ugandan shillings; the site can show an estimate in your own currency, and your quotation states the exact amount and currency you will be charged.
Will the person or business know I commissioned the check?
Not unless you want them to. Most verification work is done without announcing the client. Mystery shopping is always unannounced by definition. Where a lawful visit requires us to identify ourselves, such as with a local council office, we will tell you in advance.
Do you give legal opinions on land titles?
No. We report what is physically on the ground and what the people there say, and we obtain publicly available records where that is possible. Interpreting a title and advising you on it is work for a licensed advocate, and we will say so rather than pretend otherwise.
